Founded in 1998, SAGAesc’s Sharing on Wheels program began with a simple yet profound mission: to ensure that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has access to essential hygiene products.
SAGA-BATON ROUGE LOUISIANA
Established in 2024, the SAGA Baton Rouge Chapter extends our mission directly into communities where the need is greatest. Rooted in compassion and action, our local team shares a unified commitment to serve the helpless and unhoused—providing advocacy, essential resources, and pathways toward stability and hope. Together, we are meeting people where they are and walking alongside them toward dignity, empowerment, and lasting change
What We Do
Household Products
We carefully package a wide range of household essentials, including everyday necessities such as cleaning products.
Hygiene Products
We provide a wide range of essential hygiene products to ensure that everyone has access to basic necessities.
Care Packages
We take great care in choosing non-perishable food items to provide comfort and maintain dignity for individuals facing difficult times and in need of assistance.
We Give Away Bikes
We make it a point to share the bikes we receive from Donors with those in need, aiming to provide them with a means of transportation so they can access job opportunities.
Small Stipends
“We provide a small financial gift to support individuals experiencing homelessness in buying warm meals, groceries, or covering their transportation expenses to and from their place of employment.”
The Jael Brown Foundation
Our foundation was created to commemorate the caring and empathetic nature of our dear Founder, Jael, who had a deep concern for others, particularly during times of grief. Our goal is to provide words of solace and optimism, as well as a small financial contribution, to individuals who have endured the profound loss of a spouse, parent, child, or sibling.

SAGAesc Productions captures the lived experiences of unhoused and unsettled communities, creating space for individuals to tell their own stories—in their own words.
Too often, decisions are made about people without truly listening to them. While intentions may be good, real understanding begins when we step back and allow the voices of those most affected by income inequality to be heard.
Sharing Stories exists to center those voices. Through storytelling, we amplify truth, restore dignity, and foster compassion—because lived experience is powerful, and every story matters.
As we roll forward with Sharing on Wheels, (SOW) we’re not just delivering resources—we’re delivering respect, empathy, and a platform for voices that deserve to be heard
Broken Cries —A SAGAesc Production
Broken Cries is a discussion-based commentary created to raise awareness around the growing crisis of housing affordability.
This platform brings together voices from the front lines—advocates, organizers, and individuals actively engaging with those searching for affordable housing. Through honest and thoughtful conversations, we explore the realities of the crisis, the systemic barriers people face, and the human impact behind the statistics.
While Broken Cries does not shy away from difficult truths, it is also rooted in hope. Each discussion seeks not only to identify the problems, but to explore solutions, partnerships, and innovative approaches to help combat this epidemic.
